Each year, the Barilla for Professionals team holds an exclusive culinary retreat for our key partners and prospects. We’re thrilled to be reuniting down on the bayou with the legendary Chef John Folse for our signature “Modern Casual” culinary retreat down in Louisiana. We know culinarians need a key ingredient to fuel their creativity and inspiration – the chance to step outside of the daily grind with other chefs, seeing, tasting and cooking together.
To that end, we at Barilla are putting together an educational event with our dear friend Chef John Folse in Louisiana this September 30-October 3. The theme is “Southern Hospitality, Louisiana Flavor” and it’s an invitation-only, expenses-paid culinary retreat for a select group of high-volume chefs from across the country. Our program includes workshops and hands-on cooking with the foods of Louisiana’s “Seven Nations” – Italy is one of them! There’s also a special presentation on cooking with alligator, turtle and garfish in Louisiana. We’ll take excursions to local food producers and restaurants, learning at the feet of the amazing John Folse as our guide and partner, to immerse ourselves in Southern foodways. You’ll come away with inspiration and ideas to adapt to your menu in multi-unit and high-volume foodservice…especially with pasta!
